How ABG affected millions in society
Aditya Birla Group is one of the largest Indian multinational conglomerates. It operates in about 35 countries and has more than a hundred thousand employees all over the world. It has its foot in every sector. From retail stores, cement industry to chemical industry, fashion, telecommunication to the online banking system, in that form it has impacted society in a larger way.
I have been connected to Aditya Birla group through its health insurance policy which is very helpful as it supports full cashless hospitalization and no bar on what type of hospital you choose. It helped my family when my grandmother had a heart attack, it was a totally cashless facility. We also use retail stores by the name of “More” which gives us assurance of no fake products and good monthly discount schemes to manage the budget of the house.
It also has fashion brands such as Allen Solly & Pantaloons as it gives you feel of classy look at a nominal cost. It also has a cement brand by the name of “UltraTech” which was used by me for the renovation of my house and it provides good bonding of construction material and long life. It is also working towards making its cement eco-friendly.
Aditya Birla group also has a sister organization named as Corporate Technical and Energy Services which provides technical solutions and cost reduction by means of energy conservation, waste management & operation & maintenance practices. These are some of the ways in which ABG affected me and the society.
Challenges faced by me and how I overcame them
As an individual, you face various challenges and also manage them with your full potential but sometimes you don’t know about your real potential. This happens when you stop believing in yourself. That time believing in yourself is the key that may be ignited by yourself or by others, and that thing makes the real change in you.
One of the challenges faced by me was after my graduation. During my graduation final year most of my friend placed in various companies but I was not placed in any company, although I have completed my internship from a reputed Electrical Switchgear company.
I am the only one among my friends who was not placed due to which I started feeling stressed as to what I am going to do in future as I don’t have any job. During that period my family supported me very much, they motivated me to take up part-time teaching, apply for jobs and prepare for exams side by side. While working as a part-time teacher, I received a call from JSHL for an interview, two months after the completion of my graduation. I was very nervous as I was not able to convert any interview during my campus placement. But that time during the interview, the two months of teaching experience came to power and I was among the four who have cracked the interview.
These all process made me believe that hard work and self-belief is the key to success, either professional or personal.
