Part A : Why Aditya Birla Group is big in your life?
During the initial years of 2000's, my family was very poor. At that time my family was relying on farming only. My father somehow manages to send me to the school at that time. I have never even thought of being a manager in future.
But an idea changed our life. After the mid 2000's, people in my village started making their house cemented but they have to buy the cement and hardware from the nearby town. Even if they need a single bag of cement they have to visit the town. At that time my father thought that why not open a cement shop in the village itself. But as usual the major problem was capital. To overcome this problem my father visited many shops in town and somehow he managed to convince the wholesaler of Ultratech cement to give the cement on credit basis. This was the life changing moment for my family. From that point of time to today, we never looked back and today my father has a business of cement and other hardware whose turnover is approximately Rs 2 Cr. Due this my father managed to send me for further studies and you can see today I am pursuing my MBA from IIM Kashipur having a dream to work in Aditya Birla Group and take it to another heights. Because it’s only the Birla Group which have a network of this type of people who always remain a step ahead to help others.
Part B : How you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far?
During my schooling I was so much shy and hesitating student. I never asked even a single question in my class till 12th. I thought that if I ask a question, people will judge me and laugh on me. I was not confident enough to make friends and talk to people because I think they will comment and judge me on my dressing style. I always ignore public speaking.
But as soon as I passed my schooling and joined college for under graduation, I came to know that Allen Solly is also a product of Aditya Birla Group. Then I started wearing Allen Solly clothes. I can’t explain in words that how I feel after wearing those clothes. A significant change came in my behavior and attitude occurred. It gave me a boost in my confidence. I started speaking in public. After that I represented my college in 3 National level competitions and also organized intra college events as a head coordinator. Once more Aditya Birla Group helped me in changing my life and overcoming my weaknesses.
