People have by and large related themselves to the ABG Group by mentioning their relationship with its products and services. What I come to share of is my experience in a school closely associated with this group. Ashok Hall Group of Schools is a group of 3 schools, the first one being Mahadevi Birla Shishu Vihar, having started with not more than 10 kids, in the premises of Mr. B. K. Birla. Over the years the school has grown to host talented students from multiple domains. I happen to be an Alma Mater from this school. The school having had a humble beginning has instilled in me a deep sense of gratitude and warmth. Right from the way our ex Principal Mrs. Sarat Priya Patjoshi made us feel as little kids, to our next Principal holding my hand to guide me through the fears of public speaking to our latest Principal, giving me the opportunity to participate in competitions nationally, has transformed me as an individual. Time and again, the ABG group conducted its AGMs and invited the school students to witness the same. The entire process of having attended these diverse programs through my school learning has given me an edge over other students from the same field. I consider myself to be an extremely confident person today, and the founding steps to it have been the ABG group, through its constant innovation to the field of education and learning, particularly through the inclusion of creative ideas to my school group.
One of the biggest challenges in my life so far, has been learning to be emotionally strong. Being someone that does not take up failure very easily, having had to fail multiple times to make it to a premier B-School in the country, NMIMS Bangalore has been an uphill task. It was a pretty daunting task to give multiple exams, coming out with a sunken face, give yet another paper the next day and yet seeing scores that didn't match up to the required criteria. The most upsetting moment was when I had expected to clear my NMAT in my last attempt but in vain. The results popped up 6 hours before the New Year came around with 13 marks short of my target and I had missed NMIMS Mumbai. However with the gusto and enthusiasm that I am known to carry, I kept moving forward into NMIMS Bangalore to start my MBA journey as a fresher, in a sea full of well experienced people.
