Why Aditya Birla Group Is Big In My Life? Summer holidays have always been the most anticipated part of the academic calendar during the childhood of any kid growing up in a typical Indian middle-class family. For most, the reason behind that anticipation and enthusiasm used to be the frenzy summer camps or the option of going to an exotic location. That was not the case with me. I was born in a small town called Panna, and out there, we had no summer camps, and due to the rigorous schedule of my father, we never went to any long vacations during my childhood. There was a summer break, but there were no summer camps or exotic trips, but this did not kill my enthusiasm because I had my reasons to wait eagerly for the summer break. The reason was a visit to the wonder store which the world called “PANTALOONS.” Yes, my brother and I use to call Pantaloons the wonder store because that was the only place we knew which satisfied the needs and demands of our entire family starting from my younger brother to my great grandmother. Every summer, we use to travel from Panna to Indore, which is around 600 KMs, to shop and that use to be the highlight of my summer vacations for good six years of my childhood. This is how Aditya Birla Group entered my life, but my relation with ABG did not end there. As life would have it, my father got transferred from Panna to Bhopal, and then things started changing. From Panna, I moved to Bhopal and then within years to Chennai. It was my time in Bhopal and Chennai that exposed me to luxury brands like Michael Kors, Hugo Boss, Versace and Hackett. To my surprise, ABG, with its innovation and expansion, had an answer to my newly found demands as well. ABG through “The Collective” stores was there to quench my newly discovered thirst for designer clothing to uber-fancy belts and shoes. ABG has been a constant in my life, right from the time when I was a small town boy to the time when I became a cosmopolitan dweller and this is the impact that ABG has on lives of the majority of Indians.    Creating an Impact despite the Odds – My Story After 12th, I had a serious accident, and I ended up with a broken jaw and a crushed knee. I was on crutches for around seven months. Just as I started recovering my girlfriend had a severe mental breakdown, and her parents got to know about our relationship. As a result, we were separated. This unforeseen break up shattered the very foundations of my self-belief, my outlook towards the entire universe, and my understanding of how it works. At one point in time, I started believing that I will never be able to run again. After a lot of introspection, I was finally able to accept things. It took me some time, but slowly and gradually, I got my confidence back. With this newly found confidence, I starting looking at things positively. This helped me lay a foundation for an upgraded understanding of the world and the way it works. By the time I completely recovered from the physical and mental trauma 2nd year of my engineering was about to get over. My grades were not looking good, and it was then that I promised myself to get my academics back on track. I worked day in and day out and ensured that I get excellent grades and by the end of the 3rd year my CGPA was 9+ which made me eligible to appear in placement drive of top companies during recruitment. I knew this was just the starting, and I started working even harder to make sure that I grab this opportunity with both hands. As a result of my hard work and perseverance, I got placed in L&T Constructions, one of the biggest construction companies, one of the first companies on campus and the first company I sat for, L&T construction, offered me the job. I was thrilled and proud to have done what I did, and despite the odds against me, I had proved my mettle.
