Challenges I had overcome to achieve my ambitions
In the third year of engineering, I had made up my mind to crack CAT and pursue MBA from one pf the top B-schools in the country. To achieve this dream of mine, I got myself enrolled at a CAT coaching center and started my preparation rigorously. I was performing well in the weekly tests being conducted and the good performance boosted my confidence to head my journey towards a top B-school. My preparation was going smooth until when I was diagnosed with Typhoid. I became very week and it became very difficult for me to attend the coaching classes as well as my college. But despite these circumstances, I had the grit and determination to score well in the exam and make it to a top b school. I did not lose hope, instead I started my preparation again with the same enthusiasm. I still remember the times whem I used to score mocks and score around 60-70 percentile. Those moments were really disappointing and my heart sank after watching my performance in each of these tests. I started wondering “Is this the result I am getting after so much of hardwork? “ I was then motivated by my CAT mentor whose words made me believe that I could still do it. I stopped worrying about the results and just focused on my preparation. And finally my hardwork paid off and I converted IIM Raipur in the first go. This made me realize that one’s hardwork and dedication never goes wasted, it always pays off.
