Part A:
If I look back through my life and look for the places where ABG was introduced to me, the first thing that will come to my mind is when my home was being built and the truck carrying Ultratech Cement arrived. It was at that time I got the first impression of the ABG brand as a beacon of safety, durability, and persistence. Shifting a few years ahead, when I was shopping for my formals, I happened to glance at Van Heusen and it was love at first sight, instilling me with the belief that this brand makes me look great. Moving a little ahead and when I went away from home, it was the Idea network that kept me connected with my cherished ones making me feel near to them while being hundreds of kilometers away. These might be very small things but if you look from my perspective these events were among the few where a brand left an impression on me. Similarly, the brand ABG has put its impression on the life of millions from its large number of offerings, and presence in our lives in one form or the other. And not just only through its offerings, ABG is leaving a mark on the world by the virtue of its numerous CSR activities with a focus on healthcare, education and many more areas that are in dire need of some innovation. Along with this, ABG is invested in sustainable livelihood programs that will further leave this group's impression on the past, present and future world.
Part B:
On a close review in the ABGLP, it can be easily inferred that at its core ABGLP program is the people who are driven with a common goal and working for it irrespective of the challenges faced. When I left for Pune, after almost spending 21 yrs in the city of Noida, to work in an IT services company; this brought a lot of challenges for me, personally as well as professionally. Leaving out the professional challenge (being an Electronics and communication engineer and working as a programmer), I would like to highlight my journey and how my strength to adapt came up. For a person who was a day scholar during college days, the everyday chores were a lot to take in. Many of my friends faced the same problem. But feeling dejected all the time was affecting my work as well as my mental state. It was at that time I had to rise above this shortcoming of mine. I made it a mission to take the challenge as a task that I had to complete. Not getting used to the mess food, I ate only that; not able to sleep, I just kept lying on the bed during the night without touching my phone or laptop. In this way, I took those challenges as a task set up to test my will power and when your tasks challenge your will, you either lose or you win. But as you rise above the challenges, you will find that the quality that helped you is now hardwired in your system, and in my case, the quality that got hardwired was the quality to adapt.
Considering the roles of a leader, adapting to situations, persons, places, and technology is of utmost importance and hence I believe this trait among many others will help me get recognized by the program that ABGLP offers.
