Aditya Birla Group represents a veritable blend of rich heritage and contemporary modern people practices. It has always been there around me before I even realized it is there. The story of Aditya Birla Group for me started early on in my childhood when while going to school my mother used to pack our lunch boxes in Freshwrapp foil, though at that time I had no idea I was already a part of Aditya Birla Group family. I think before any of us noticed, ABG products were already a part of our lives and have made their ways to our hearts. Be it father’s that blue Allen Solly shirt or that patterned Louis Philippe sweater or his favourite Peter England Khaki trousers. Aditya Birla Group is everywhere no matter where you are while playing hide n seek in a constructing building you can see sacks of Ultratech cement or strolling in the mall you will come across Pantaloons containing apparels from all top brands. When you grow up seeing these brands in your household you know these are brands you can trust and following your father’s footsteps, someone who wants to be like him you start copying his dressing style, as a result, our household started seeing more and more collection from Forever 21 and People. My one-stop-shop for buying formal clothing has always been Van Heusen, irrespective of what I need a shirt or pant or a jacket, Van Heusen has always been on top of my list. So before going for an interview or even before entering the B-school, that is where my feet stopped. But talking about how I made an impact, for that I would have to recall my graduation days, more precisely, my second year of B.Tech. where when I noticed around me everyone was busy learning C or C++ coding languages but I wanted to be different from others so I started gathering knowledge of Web Designing but after some time I noticed I am not different from any third person who possesses knowledge of web designing so I was again provoked to think what can I do to stand out? What can I do to be different from the rest? Then it was this time I made up my mind to try my hand at Graphics Designing. As a result of my perseverance, I learnt Adobe Photoshop and was one of the few designers in the college, started my own committee to teach juniors Photoshop, was part of fests of designing team both as a member and a leader. Not just that, it encouraged me to be independent and rather than asking for pocket money every month from home I started working as an intern since the second year of my college and started earning for my own expenses. This didn’t stop there, I was the only person who was placed in a company who came in looking for a UI/UX Designer, and after coming to the B-school and realizing how my skills can be used anywhere and everywhere and how this skillset is useful to the councils here too. Just when I was thinking in my graduation that I am not that skilled at coding in C or JAVA, I taught myself something new, something different, something that not everyone does or can do and now I can say that that step I took, I never would have realized would create such a big impact for me.
