The first name that comes to my mind when I think of Aditya Birla Group is the Peter England Shirts. I remember the days when I must purchase a trendy shirt on any occasion and Peter England was the first name that would come to my mind. Now, Allen Solly, Van Heusen, and Louis Philippe have all become part of me.
I remember the days when people used the tagline "What an Idea Sirji" when someone comes up with a new idea. That popular was the Idea campaign. The next Ad about Idea internet Network (IIN) Education for all has been a great commercial.
I remember the day when I gave my entrance test to get into the prestigious Birla Institute of Technology and Science. ABG through BITS institutes have been providing Top quality Education with highest standards.
Not to forget Hindalco, a Subsidiary of ABG, and one of the largest Aluminum and copper manufacturing company and biggest producer of aluminum in Asia. From Aluminum foils to Vehicles, I am someway connected to Hindalco.
A few more to mention are the UltraTech Cement Limited, the largest manufacturer of cement in India, providing Building solutions and giving strength to so many families. Aditya Birla Capital the umbrella brand for all the financial services business of The Aditya Birla Group.
Aditya Birla Group has been in my journey like no other. Offering innovative products and services. It has left an impression on many families in India and Indians are indebted to ABG group for all it has done. Adding value. Adding purpose.
CAT - A Learning experience that lasts for a lifetime!
It is generally said that "Challenges are the driving force behind living a victorious life". One such challenge I faced in my life was to prepare for CAT while doing my IT Job. Managing both simultaneously required me to develop time management skills, create a work-study balance and utilizing weekends in a timely manner. It was also very much required to keep up with my self-confidence throughout the preparation process.
I remember the days when I used to wake up early in the morning, went to the coaching classes for CAT, then going to office and then preparing for CAT on return from work. Such hectic was the schedule that I used to get exhausted after a few days of routine. There were days where I had to work for more than 18 hours and stay with minimal sleep. But, I had to be persistent and focus on CAT. It also required that I had to reduce investing time in unnecessary activities other than what’s important.
It was during the last two months before to CAT that I started giving my mock exams and all the days I had to work without any gap. So much was the pressure upon me that I had to meet deadline in office work while at the same time, I had to improve my score in mock CAT exams.
Preparation for CAT also helped me to stay disciplined and keep trust in myself to achieve what I have set to achieve. I can call this challenge more of a learning experience which I can use throughout my life. Thanks to CAT!
