ABG founders have played a vital role in India’s economy and growth for over a century and will continue to do so in the future. The five-year plan of the Planning Commission of the government of India was based on the Bombay Plan, which has GD Birla as one of its signatories. ABG is one of the largest conglomerates in India founded in 1857 by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla having more than 1 lakh employees worldwide spanning over 35 countries. The group  ABG is essential to me as the core values on which the group was formed which are –“ Integrity, Commitment, Passion, Seamlessness, and Speed”  can be very much relatable to me in many ways. Each of these has become part of my life during my working tenure and continued with me after that. The integrity and commitment which ABG has shown over a century for nation building and prosperity have spread smiles over a billion faces.  While working in the renewable sector, I have developed a passion for sustainability ABG is continuously putting seamless effort to bring the lower strata people into the mainstream by their CSR activities. The core ideology of ABG behind  CSR is to – “Build a better, sustainable way of life for the weaker sections of society and raise the country's human development index,” as stated by Mrs. Rajashree Birla. I belong to a place called Mouda, which fortunately has two ABG subsidiary companies Hindalco and UltraTech plant. Many of my friends and neighbors are working there so in a sense; it has been part of my life since childhood. Right from the home to the cement roads, from the clothes to the connectivity in each sphere of life, ABG has played a big part in my life.    Overcoming Challenges for Turning Dream into Reality.           Every single person in his/her life came across challenges which need to overcome to be able to achieve his/her ambitions. I’m also one of them. During my life, I have encountered various challenges, but the most critical was the one which I had faced in the previous year. Last year in June, I had resigned from my job for preparing B-School exams. While serving a notice period, I had received a call from my brother’s hostel that he is unwell. After visiting him, I was shocked to see him, as he wasn’t able to move his legs. After the MRI and other preliminary tests, he was diagnosed with Myelopathy (Spinal Cord TB). There were many questions which were popping into my brain. Should I take my resignation back to be able to support family expenses or should I remain with my family in this hour of need as my native was Nagpur and I was working in Mumbai? And also, whether should I hold the plan of  MBA. At that instant, it was too much for me to process. After giving a lot of thought, I chose to stay with my parents. The last year was full of challenges, both physically and mentally. As I had to attend to the daily needs of my brother along with that has to focus on my studies. It was challenging to be able to cope up and thrive in academics, and also there was not much of an option for me to take another year for clearing CAT and other exams. After a year of hard work, determination, and dedication, converting IIM Visakhapatnam was like a trophy for me. The experiences which I have gained in this journey have transformed me wholly.
