The IIT Dream
I always wanted to become an engineer and like any engineering aspirant, the dream was to make into the elite IITs. I tried my best but in my first attempt I could not secure a decent AIEEE rank, let alone clearing IIT JEE exam. It was a very difficult situation. Though it was a hard decision, but I decided to give one more attempt and try next year for IIT JEE. I worked really hard but still could not clear IIT JEE exam even in my second attempt.
I was able to secure a good rank in AIEEE and joined NIT, Kurukshetra for B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering but the aspiration of being an IITian remained just a dream. Thereafter, I worked in Project Management department of an EPC company for next three years and became immersed in my work. Realizing the importance of MBA in today’s cut throat world and for my career progression, I thought of doing an MBA.
I started studying late night after work hours. After getting my CAT result, I realized DMS, IIT Delhi was my best option of doing an MBA. Just like that the ‘IIT Dream’ was alive again. This triggered me to put all efforts for a good performance in the interview round. Finally, I got admission in DMS, IIT Delhi for MBA and it felt like I was on the top of the world. In July, 2018 I became an IITian and turned my dream into a reality. In the end, I would like to say that dreams don’t have an expiration date. Take a deep breath and Try Again!!
