In this 21st century, where technological advancements have made people self-satisfied and highly independent, we have to acknowledge and be grateful to the business owners and enterprises who trusted in the technology and expanded its reach to every nook and corner of this world. Without these great business minds, any technology would be only locally visible, if not a failure. Usually my day begins with calling my parents, making breakfast for myself and getting ready for college or work. Basic stuff that we no longer mention to anyone when they ask how was your day, until one of our routine activities are messed up, say some cosmetic we brought from a store is leaking, there's no cell phone signal or our clothes shrunk after one wash. I realized a couple months ago when I saw an advertisement on YouTube - ABG Big in your Life, that my life's basic needs are being delivered hassle free by a corporate business giant and I never took time to acknowledge them. I now know how many more million lives they have touched and made day to day basic needs, a beautiful experience. The networking scope that ABG has brought has a tremendous impact on everyone's day to day life. From fashion to road safety, from industry building to developing villages and from connecting people to fulfilling dreams by making finance easy as never before, ABG is definitely India’s backbone in balancing the economic, education and health care growth and development in rural lives too.
Coming from a middle class family and having seen the value of happiness we get from the little things, I had always dreamt of being able to add a smile on someone else’s face. Going out to work, first time away from home, was not something unique but a big happening in my life. There was constant challenge of finding balance between learning about how corporate's work, technical work and more so handling even my smallest of the necessities which used to get fulfilled by itself. It was very easy to lose a track of self in the fast paced world. But I always had a self-check mechanism in form of my daily yoga. Situation did bring me down at times, times were hard but my self-motivation and trust was strong enough to keep me together. I slowly started joining the pieces of my life’s puzzle. It began with having few sleepless nights and months without weekends that I started to have a hold of my work. Workplace still did feel a bit lifeless to me at times so I took an initiative to organize fun activities at work. Eventually I started moving towards what gave me little sense of accomplishment by joining an NGO rural school teaching program. But the world is a race, and we are the runners who have to run continuously without giving us a chance to even stop by and give a thought as to what are we running for and hence I had a dream to pursue MBA. It was little difficult but not impossible to find a place to study in midst of these extended responsibilities I had created for myself. As it is said, slow and steady wins the race, I kept my motivation high and being a part of IIM Ranchi tells me I achieved it. And while saying a final good bye to the world I had created for me at my workplace, there were tears in the eyes and smiles on the faces of the people whom I was leaving telling me that yes, it was a difficult journey but worth it and I could end up being a winner.
