PART A: How ABG is big in my life?
Aditya Birla Group has its imprint in numerous and diverse sectors of business. It has grown in the national and international markets such that it is bound to come across in someone’s life very often. The brand Birla has been in my head ever since my childhood with the reference of the family name Birla taken in movies many times. As time progressed I grew up watching UltraTech advertisements amidst my favourite television shows which still gives a nostalgic sense as it revisits few memories. Moving on to the time I first got my phone after clearing my exams, I received it with my father’s Idea sim which I still use. Idea Cellular Limited has saved me every now and then during my engineering with sudden data offers that came to my rescue when data usage was very infrequent.
As I continue my formal education, I had to relocate to many places and this grown-up me demanded to look cool with formal attire. The wide range of lifestyle brands from ABG was at my rescue, with Peter England being my go-to apparel wear. With me now pursuing an MBA, ABG is a dream group to be part of after my graduation. The type of environment it provides for growth and career development is parallel to none.
ABG has been responsible for reaching out to under-served communities and working towards making a meaningful difference to them with a focus on education, healthcare, sustainable livelihood, infrastructure development and espousing social causes. Truly ABG has been big in my life and to the society in contributing to the future.
PART B: How I overcame challenges and learnt valuable lessons?
Challenges are no new thing to a person trying to make a mark in their life, I am no exception. It is necessary to take every setback in life as a challenge and tackle it head-on. This has made me adapt to learning from experience not just from mine but also from others through observation.
My first challenge can be looked back during my school days when I had to juggle between studies, cricket and karate. It was hectic and initially was paranoid by the toll it was taking on me as a kid. But with the support of my parents and coaches, I stood persistent in my efforts to successfully adapt to the circumstance and continue my sessions. The next big challenge was when I had taken up the position of Team Captain of the dance team during my undergraduate (engineering) course. That is when I found how difficult was it to take up a leadership position and handle a different set of people. I held up this position with great pride and with the many mistakes in the way to make, I was able to handle this post successfully with a lot of lessons to learn. These lessons have seeped into me and have become part of my life’s learning curve.
With expectations of such challenges to come ahead in my life, I hold these challenges and the lessons that they have taught me as valuable experiences. I am sure and positive that I would be able to face any challenges henceforth.
