The name Aditya Birla Group is very famous and known to everyone. Over the years, this brand has forayed into diverse industries and has carved a niche for themselves. ‘Pantaloons’ is my first acquaintance with this conglomerate. Set up in Kolkata at a time when all apparels under one roof was a rarity, this store attracted huge crowd and bestowed upon them a feeling of trust and satisfaction. I have been using their products since then.
Aditya Birla Group has always been modifying themselves with time and has repeatedly adopted to the varying needs and trends of this dynamic world. The thing I like about this business is the kind of variety in products they offer. The legacy and ethics have helped them rise to the third largest private sector giant in India. Their large array of products and services assists us to determine our needs and luxuries.
Their products have reached everywhere and they are making a difference every single day. They studied the India market conditions immaculately and went on expanding to smaller cities of India despite knowing how tough it would be to set up the brand in such places. They introduced brands which would fit into every single person’s requirement. They connect with people at different levels in varied ways and have made their way into the lives of everyone.
They have laid their foundation on their mission “To deliver superior value to our customers, shareholders, employees and society at large”. The most important aspect of their business is their belief in Sustainability. They thrive to become the leading Indian brand for sustainable business practices across its varying operations.

Career progression is a major aspect in anyone’s life and there comes a point when you have to decide which direction you want to steer your life. Fear inhibits actions. It stops you from reaching the apex and conquer it. Dilemma is another aspect which when added to fear makes a deadly combination and lays down innumerable obstacles on our path.
Decision to do MBA was filled with dilemmas as I was stable at my work and was enjoying my work. However, I understood that a paradigm shift is required at some point of time in someone’s life for making the future bright. Doing shift jobs, it was never easy to foray into studies and make the best out of it. It used to make me stop and think of all the bad consequences that could follow
I have learnt that the stairs to success is steep and it takes enough courage to traverse it. I took to it with a brave heart and planned it carefully. I knew some amount of luck is indeed important as it can surpass talent at times. I have pushed myself to overcome the fear and forgot that I could fail. I started with tiny steps and made a small schedule after my office hours. It was tough doing night shifts consecutively and then stay up to study.
The next tough question was my decision of resigning. Considering the kind of life to follow, I was sceptical about it but realized that if you don’t take risks in life then you will never be rewarded. Finally I am here, pursuing MBA and trying to achieve my ambition. Still I might have little doubts but then one thing is sure that I am gaining the capacity to light my path ahead. #IIMRaipur #ABGLPWooMe
