Aditya Birla Group (ABG) is a name that don’t even need an introduction. My encounter with its brands like UltraTech Cement, BHIM APBP has been very satisfying over the years but the company has made its impact on my life through its subsidiary called Fashion Powerhouse of India- Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited.
With the changing trends in the fashion industry, Aditya Birla Group’s fashion and retail brands have helped me in keeping myself updated with the knowledge of recent trends in the fashion industry. Whether it is about casual wears, party wears or formals, my only choice is to tap brands like Pantaloons, Forever21, Allen Solly, Van Heusen etc. which are consolidated under ABG. From watching the appealing advertisements of these brands on the television to the window shopping at the malls, these brands have always been my first preference for shopping.
As per my observation, these brands follow a strategy for positioning their garments and other accessories in the showrooms to attract the relevant audience. There is an empty space in the front in which a mannequin is placed which demonstrate the classiest ‘wow’ dress of the showroom. Research shows that people after entering tend to turn right, so on the right side, there is a collection of garments of recent trends. And the left side is usually flooded with the dresses or the best collections from past trends. Rest other garments are portrayed in the areas behind this. On the billing counter side, the accessories like tote bags, belly shoes, earrings etc. are placed. So, this shows that how strategically they attract their customers. Also, the ambience with soft music provides the best shopping experiences that one can shop for hours without even realizing.
Upgrading to the recent trends quickly so that customers don’t have to wait for the product, whether one is shopping online or directly purchasing from store, is the best quality of ABG Fashion Brands. That’s why, ABG has always been my number one choice for fashion shopping.
Challenges before MBA
Just like any other student, I joined the B.Tech. with an ambition of securing a good job. So, till third year, I had the aim of working in a leading firm towards attainment of its goals by making proper utilization of my knowledge and experience. In the journey of equipping myself with proper knowledge, exposure to various subjects that light upon the roles of a manager in an organization and learning how their key roles of POSDCO brings stability in the organization developed my interest in completely different direction, i.e., MBA. This field guarantees growth, vast knowledge of various domains and a good career progression. Also, I had a mindset of joining MBA as a fresher as it would help me acquire all the prerequisite knowledge I need to have while stepping into the corporate world. Thus, keeping this in mind, I started my journey of CAT preparation in third year itself. I started off with self-study keeping a tap on all the top colleges. Since the D-day was not so close, so it all seemed very easy but when I entered the final year, the face-off with the real stress of getting placed as well as cracking CAT in the first go itself was not so easy. Sometimes, I used to give up as I was not able to perform in either direction. A month before CAT, I decided not to focus on college placements and give all my time for CAT preparation. I appeared for CAT and when the result came, I cracked it. Also, I got placed in a brand. Later, I gave the interview of IMI, New Delhi and got selected. This is how, I accomplished my targets.
