ABG, in the form of Ultratech cement, has a direct impact on our lives as my cousin is currently working there and enjoying a positive work environment and value-driven life. I also am a proud consumer of Idea-Vodafone network for the last five years and coming from a state where connectivity is a problem in some of the areas with other networks, I have never faced any such problem even in the remotest of areas. ABG’s active social responses to the problems in society is another factor that connects it to the lives of the millions of needful which otherwise would be neglected by everyone, it gives me immense pleasure that they are working towards bringing them to the mainstream.
ABG completely complies with its vision and mission of reaching out to each business in a focused manner and delivering superior value to consumers, stakeholders, and society at large in an efficient way.
Making a difference
With the intent to contribute our part to the society, I, with four of my friends from the college decided to work for the underprivileged section of our society. Being students, we all came to a common point that we can contribute in some way to the education sector and also formulated a free volunteer policy as we involved no money policy. We then looked for schools wherein there is an actual need for help.
The biggest problem that we faced was the involvement of new members to the group as we were only 5 members and could not cover more than just one school. People joined at first hand but left after some time as no incentives were offered to them, and the students of schools were also not inclined towards studies. So an idea struck us, of bringing in something new within our working style which will help people relate to the cause for which they are working and we tied up with few special schools in our nearby locality wherein people felt really good working with specially-abled students and also we found that the students here were more inclined towards learning than the abled students. So, with that tinge of emotional attachment towards the students people got ready to work with other children also under a free volunteer policy. And the idea is to function now also and more and more people have joined hands to work for this cause.
