It is hard to find people who haven’t faced any challenges and still were successful because challenges are something that brings out the real ‘you’ and can help you in becoming a better human being. To begin with, very early in my education, in my second grade to be precise, I suffered from learning disorder for a period of around two years. Though it was not an extreme case, it was difficult to fathom what was being taught and I had to take therapy to overcome it and reach a normal level. Also, coming from a middle-class family, money was always a constraint. Though there wasn’t much I could do about it, having gone through some of the tough phases due to the crunch, it instilled the desire to know/learn about everything I could so that it can be used to alleviate some issues in the future. Finally, almost three years ago, I suffered from depression for a period of almost 12 months. And the prime reason for it was, which I later figured out, nothing was going my way-both personally and professionally which took a huge toll on my body. It was the most difficult challenge that I had faced to date. To overcome it seemed like a gigantic thing for me. But, I motivated myself that there are better thing in store for me and managed to tackle it. Also,I believe that motivation is something that has to come from within.Because it lasts long and is a powerful tool to pick yourself up when you hit rock bottom. Throughout all the challenges, there has been only one thing that has kept me going: to leave a mark, because there is a limited amount of time available to all of us and a life without a purpose is a life wasted. HOW ABG IS BIG IN MY LIFE If there is any conglomerate in India that can proudly claim to have seen all the major depressions, recessions, and has successfully managed to stand the test of time, it is the Aditya Birla Group (ABG). Having started with a tiny cotton trading business way back in 1857, the kind of progress it has made is phenomenal on many levels. Firstly, I’ve been associated with it for a long time now in some or the other way. The prime reason for it being the umpteen number of brands they offer which cater not only to people from different economic backgrounds but also for all types of needs. In this context, it would be appropriate to mention the tremendous amount of help that ABFRL  is providing through their fine formal apparels as I pursue my masters at one of the finest trade B-schools. Secondly, being a user of Vodafone Idea Limited, formerly Idea Cellular, I can vouch for it on any given day. Even before the aggressive bid to slash prices began, the services provided were unmatched because the utility that the customers derive from it was at par with the amount spent, if not more. Also, though I have limited affiliation with it, while travelling, the Birla Carbon used in various conveyor belts has touched the lives of millions and will continue to do so for a long time to come. And finally, with the launch of Aditya Birla Payments Bank(APBP), and with the kind of unique initiatives like ‘Mobile number as bank account number’, it is sure to disrupt this space which has a large chunk of millennials and generation Z using it, including me!
