I love smart and witty advertisements and have grown up watching ads of Idea cellular, “What an idea sirji!” with Abhishek bachchan in it and also the campaign of Ultratech cement with the tagline ‘The Engineers Choice’. These ads have really helped in etching the ABG name in my memory as a kid and they continue to do so even today. The recent campaign launched by ABFRL with the hastag #LetsbePeopleFirst continues the tradition of smart advertising followed by ABG and has really struck a chord with the people. Having done my graduation from BITS Pilani University further helped in etching the Birla name in my consciousness. This feeling of associating myself with the ABG brand became even stronger post this. The name, ‘Aditya Birla Group’ has become a part of our lives in an unprecedented way, unbeknownst to us sometimes. Be it the roads that we walk on or the buildings we reside in to the clothes and brands that we love to flaunt, ABG has truly made an impact of our lives one way or the other. Its tagline ‘Taking India to the world’ is ubiquitous with exemplifying the might of India to the world and not just in terms of how a business should run but also how it should give back to the society. This is clearly highlighted by ABG’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects. ABG’s hospital services, immunisation camps and mid-day meals for school children have positively impacted the lives of millions of people in India who otherwise do not have access to such services. ABG takes tremendous pain to make sure its commercials are clean and family-friendly in an expletive-ridden Ad-space. Also, its offerings are known for their classiness and reliability. This is something I really respect about ABG as an organisation.  PART B - I have always loved playing sports. As a kid, I started playing cricket, undertook training and got pretty good at it. My father encouraged me to try participating in a number of different sports and, then take a call on the one I would consistently pursue. As a result of his advice, I ended up representing my school in Table Tennis, represented the district of Aurangabad at state-level Basketball events and, played for my college team in Ultimate Frisbee. This aspect has provided my personality with an element of versatility. It has instilled in me the confidence to take up something new and, execute it diligently. Also, every sport hones a distinctive skill set: while Cricket taught me the virtue of patience, Table Tennis helped in improving my reflexes and, Basketball and Ultimate Frisbee developed my fitness. Apart from this, Sports have also given me an opportunity to do something good for the society. During my undergraduation, I along with my friends set up an Ultimate Frisbee camp for kids living in slums near our college, in order to instil a sense of collective responsibility, empathy, sportsman spirit and leadership through the game of Ultimate Frisbee. By the time, we graduated from college, the small group of kids had turned into a full-fledged community and it still continues to be one of the defining things about that particular slum. Some of them now represent the local clubs and play at national level tournaments.
