Part A – Aditya Birla Group, Taking India to the world
What more apt tag line can be given to such mammoth conglomerate? It is 3
rd largest private sector conglomerate.
In 2006 I got interested to know about Aditya Birla Group which is during the construction of our own house. It’s a go-to choice for my father to purchase cement from ABG. What most intrigued me during that time about ABG is the tagline of its group. I felt so proud to know that it lives by its tag line by causing disruption in different industries and providing leading quality products to Indians. It gave such an inspiration to me at a young age Aditya Birla Group provided me the products I needed at every stage of my life since then. It is no wonder that ABG is in league with fortune 500 companies and a bread earner to more than 120,000 employees by operating in more than 35 countries.
It gave us Pantaloons to shop at one place with its in-house brands such as Louis
Philippe, Allen Solly, Van Heusen, Peter England, and these brands never disappointed me till now which is why my wardrobe is filled by these products. Not only in fashion choice but ABG also gave me !dea, changing my life and connecting me 24/7 with people in my life for the past 7 years.
As an MBA graduate, Aditya Birla Group is one of my most prestigious organization to work for. I would be lucky to work for an organization which inspired and motivated me from a young age.
Part B – A Challenge in an opportunity in disguise
In my life whatever the challenges I had I always one phrase which gets me through it i.e it doesn’t matter how you started it, It matters most how you end it.
Frog from a small well
I am from a place where people around me don’t even know that there is an entrance test called IIT JEE and what it’s an abbreviation. A teacher in 7
th grade uttered IIT JEE for the first time and told all of us how prestigious it is to crack that exam and enter into India’s top engineering colleges. From then my only goal till 2012 was to crack IIT JEE. It was hard to explain to everyone why it is important for me to move to tier 1 city school and make my parents pay a fee which is beyond what we can afford. Eventually, after moving to tier 1 school I got hit by reality in the face. With every passing day, I realized how I did not know to have any exposure to many things and how competitive it is. I realized that I was a frog from a small well who does not know what is going on in the outside world. I started small and carried myself with patience and pursuance for 3 years to achieve what I dreamed in that small well.
Cracking IIT JEE after facing all those difficulties and having doubts in my mind throughout my journey gave me a whole new perception in life. It gave me faith and confidence in myself.
