Part B: Challenges of Life:
Though born and brought up at a small town with inadequate educational facilities and content, made it to best engineering college of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. That’s a challenge in itself. But, that is to fulfil my parents wish. Here, as a part of the ABG Challenge, I want to talk of an exciting challenge I took myself.
2017, taking home tuitions to local students I realised, though everyone was using different methods to study, everyone has different content to study, how can they be judged on the same examination? Same question paper? The content they are using is as per the price their parents can afford. Lesser fees, small school, poor content but judged on same question paper attempted by better school students. Though, I have no stamina to stand against all the system, took a challenge to make little better of education in small schools.
I, along with my graduate friends, started a Not-for-profit Organisation called Syzygy-Aligning brilliance, which aims at providing better content and practical education, experimental learning to schools with inadequate facilities. Months spent in gathering content, contacting schools, make them believe in our model and establishing safety standards for chemical experiments. The initial investment was given by my professor, thanks for the trust placed, we are able to return investment in two weeks.
Tremendous efforts made by the whole team, for a small change, to see the smiles of students, making their learning happier. The entire team must pull the engineering academics as well with this self-assigned project — proper plans made to cover both the tasks and our grades even shot-up. Increased communication and managing skills of the teammates made almost every one of the team, get placed at better companies and colleges.
We formed a Team B, with our juniors after our exit from college. Till date, we are able to train 3000+ students in experimental learning and hope to teach even more this academic year.
