“You have to become like the Birlas …”

How often have you come across this statement? Probably more than one can remember. I, for instance have grown up listening to this like a pearl of wisdom. Saying so, I can surely declare that Aditya Birla group has a massive presence in my life.

Launching of idea network is by itself a “Great idea, Sirji”, which was my first sim card that I used. Those were the days when we used to have 100 free messages per day. Writing about this evokes nostalgic memories of childhood days. Being from a city without a metro, I always wondered how it would be beat the traffic. That’s when the “Namma Metro” project was started. After the metro lines were open, it was the time for my first ride, along with my friends. As expected, it was an electrifying experience. Obviously, because it’s the engineer’s choice, the UltraTech Cement upon which these metro lines are built. Okay, who doesn’t love the fresher’s party? Everyone wants to dress up and have fun. Even I was. Then I have to face the biggest challenge, to search a dress, my first dress. After a good visit to so many shops with no success, I enter the Pantaloons store. It had a huge collection with the possible accessories and shoes. One stop at Pantaloons and I’m done shopping for my first fresher’s. Just within half an hour, I walk out of the shop with a huge smile on my face.
