Aditya Birla Group (ABG) is an Indian Conglomerate which has over 50 years of rich history. Since then they are transforming the lives of each and every stakeholder present in their value chain. It is great seeing them how they shaped the conglomerate, making it India’s first MNC and entering into different diversified product lines and offering, for say financial services, telecom, copper, cement textile and many more, scaling through acquisitions.
ABG is now USD 44.3 billion MNC and operates in 34 countries across 5 continents with employees belonging to 42 different nationalities. I have personally experienced how they are making India big and taking it to the world. They are providing their cements in big and massive changes as in Mumbai’s Bandra Worli sea link making lives easy over there. Not only massive but microscopic as well, most of the tyres uses Birla carbon which makes it safer to ride. The lifeline of India that is Indian Railways they fulfill their large requirement by Birla copper. They are catering our lifestyle needs as well, I have been using Their different products – Pantaloons, VanHeusen, Liva, Allen Solly from quite a few years, and I would admit that these are the ones I would visit every time I go for shopping.
Their big initiatives for CSR cannot be ignored they reach to around 5,000 villages to provide them better day to day life and employment, employing 4,500 women, looking into people’s health, they have installed 1,000 biogas plants taking a big sustainability step forward. Most of their innovative products are greener and made to reduce the carbon footprint and making ecosystem more greener.
This shows how they have delivered superior lifestyle and value to their customers, shareholders, employees and society at large and how they have evolved as a premium global business.

Challenge is a word that most people dread. Everyone wants to be successful. But challenges are the way to success they lead us to become successful and achieve more by teaching us many lessons, through failure as well. We should always learn to take challenges and crave for it, this is how we can break the glass door.
Now let me share some of my challenge taking I have incorporated this habit from the childhood itself. When I was in 10
th standard, I was in schools dance team and kabaddi team. Every year we Kendriya Vidyalaya sangathan (KVS) organizes regional and national level sports and cultural competition. Being the two teams was a big responsibility. But in a practice match of kabaddi, my leg was hurt, and I was even unable to walk properly but due to my determination to take my dance team to the national level, I took the challenge of dance for my team and school and we stood second in the competition.
The second most interesting story of my life Is from my corporate experience. Being from non-IT background and having very less motivation and interest to work in IT company, I got placed in one of the biggest IT firm Infosys limited. The initial adjustment was tough, to learn everything from scratch and developing interest but then I self-motivated myself to take up this challenge work hard day and night being flexible at working place and ready to learn any thing made me achieve my goal. The result of this was that I replaced my team leader in just 2.5 years of my joining and was working as team lead when I finally left job to pursue my MBA.
What matters here is your determination, dedication and discipline to surpass any challenge and achieve the goal and lead yourself towards success.
