The biggest way in which ABG is connected with me is through one of its most trusted retail chains - Pantaloons. In my childhood Pantaloons played a big part in my life. We could get affordable, high-quality clothes for the whole family in one place. So, Pantaloons was the shopping destination for the family. Now brands like Van Heusen and Louis Philippe which are some of the largest apparel brands in India that offer premium clothing. The clothing of these brands makes me look more confident.
My family has been using idea mobile services for a long time. Now with its merger with Idea, it has become the largest mobile service provider in India. Idea played an important role in my life by connecting me with my family with their amazing.
ABG with its community initiatives and rural development schemes, tells us that not only brands but initiatives like these are a big part of our life as being a socially responsible company; it brings pride to me to be part of the ABG family.
The company has so much to offer that it has become my go-to place for any product or service I wish to buy. The conglomerate is so huge that I might be using an Aditya Birla Group product without even knowing about it. For instance, the vegetables and fruits I eat could have been grown using the fertilizers manufactured by Aditya Birla Group or the various metals I use in day to day life could be the group’s product. While maintaining the quality, the group has successfully established itself across 35 countries. The number of options within the Group itself tempts me to buy their products and services. In the end I would just like to say that the Group has already made my life BIG and with the same kind of zeal I’m sure it would make my life BIGGER.
How I overcame my challenges
Challenges are integral parts of our lives in general. There will hardly be anyone who will say that he/she has led a smooth-flowing life till now.
Even my life has not been all flowery. Though fortunately I haven’t had to face financial crisis ever still obstacles were not limited at all. The biggest hindrance I faced till date was regarding the choice of a career.
Two years ago, I had an ambition which I desperately wanted to achieve because it had started to feel that my graduation degree is not going to take me anywhere and will be a lost identity in this over-competitive world. The ambition was to reach into an IIM and to complete MBA. But I starting working in a construction company though I am from mechanical background the technical knowledge that I have learnt in my graduation is not enough to survive in that sector and I knew that I don’t fit in that, then I started looking for the other opportunities and found opportunities in the mechanical sector are limited. I took the decision of going and doing my preparation for the CAT. Getting situated at a place away from home and have to prepare for cat simultaneously doing job was a big challenge for me, leave aside the preparation challenge. Amidst all these I didn’t forget my goal. I thought of putting all my efforts to achieve my ambitions. I carried all my responsibilities towards my family and did all was expected from me as a son or an elder brother. Also, I did carry out my studies which were essential to crack the CAT exam. Also, few times I got distracted and felt low, but I didn’t lose hope. At last overcoming all the challenges that life put on me, I cleared CAT and right now I am studying in one of the most prestigious and top B-Schools in India.
