The Aditya Birla Group is one of the premier business conglomerate of India. Founded in 1857: Seth Shiv Narayan Birla commenced cotton trading operations at Pilani, Rajasthan and set the foundation of the Birla Group of Companies and it subsequently transformed to a leading multi-product corporation covering varied business sectors. It is impossible to have not come across an ABG product in one’s everyday life. It has had a huge place in my life like it has been in millions of other peoples’ lives. There are numerous incidents where ABG has helped me get set for the big day of my life and it is impossible to choose one such incident. So I thought of writing about a few such incidents.
Every year before Eid, the most prominent concern for all the ladies in my house is the Eid dress. We roam around the market all day to find that one perfect dress. However, when Pantaloons finally opened in a city near my hometown, all my fashion woes came to an end. I just have to visit the showroom and find the perfect dress in less than 30 minutes and relax all day. It has become a one stop shopping destination for me and my family.
Another incident when ABG proved a saviour happened after I got a few good calls from MBA colleges, I had to attend the GD-PI process of the colleges. It was not only a test of my knowledge and communication skills but also of my own personal grooming and how I present myself. I had to pick the right set of the formals for my big day. I looked at different showrooms but couldn’t find what I was looking for. Ultimately I went inside Van Heusen where I finally found perfect formals for the big day.
On another instance, I would describe something that happened after joining the college. We have Art of Living sessions organised for us once we join. For that we reached the Triveni Ashram, Pune where we realised there was no network inside the ashram as it was located on the outskirts of Pune. However, the only network service working there was Vodafone. Thankfully I had a dual sim phone and I had Vodafone network on that. I was expecting an important call that day. Not only was I able to attend the call I could also help my friends who had no network on their phones to make important calls from my cell phone. I realised how Vodafone from ABG offers incredible network and connectivity all over India.
These are just few of the many instances how ABG is and will always be big in my life. ABG has been doing great work in all the business sectors such as metal, cement, telecom, finance, textiles, fashion and retail, etc. Every day it helps make the life a million people easier in one or the other way.
