The group has various companies in diverse sectors and offering products which have influenced everyday activities of any consumer.
A recent example would be of Aditya Birla Capital as I was looking for a tax saving mutual fund and I was searching on various platforms about various types of mutual funds available in the market and I got to know about their tax relief fund and it is one of the highest-rated mutual fund compared to its peers and the good part about the company is that they still send financial content-rich emails which helps in knowing about the current happenings in the financial markets.
Also, their product Birla carbon has made a huge impact on our lives as my father runs a tire-tube business, so I know how carbon black has been designed to improve tread wear and the rolling resistance as this is an important step in facing the dynamic industry standards required for the labeling of tires. The group has also made a significant impact on the education sector as they have Birla planetariums, Engineering institute in Pilani (BITS), and K.K Birla foundation which was established in 1991 by Krishna Kumar Birla and gives the awards like Saraswati Samman and GD Birla award for scientific research.
Challenges are a part of every person’s life and one should not run away by the fear of failures. It all depends on how you face them and how tall you stand at the end of it. I had this incident in my life after my 12
th board exams and during engineering entrance exams so I was already taking coaching for JEE exams since class 11
th and was not performing excellently but fairly well and was confident of clearing at least the first exam i.e JEE Mains but maybe because of over confidence or what, I was not able to clear the exam and my parents were really disappointed at me and that was the time when I actually started doubting myself that am I even capable of achieving anything in my life? And it continued throughout my engineering which transformed me into a person with a negative outlook towards life as I was highly demotivated by my performance and that I was not able to make my parents proud all these years but then cat happened, and I was finally able to convert IMI, New Delhi. I should not say this but while preparing for MBA interviews, I learned a lot and if I compare who I am today versus who I was 5 years back, I’m a completely different person and most importantly my parents are proud of me. Finally, what I learned from all this is that one should not stop trying because even after failing multiples, I kept trying
