In life, every person comes across various challenges in one way or the other. And challenges are important as they prepare the person for future situations and make him a man of strong character. I personally feel that living a life deprived of challenges is no less than living a handicapped life.
In my life, there have been many occasions where I faced challenges in the form of setbacks. One of them being: the time when I was supposed to give speech in the morning assembly. This was the first time I was about to speak in front of such a big crowd. So, I prepared hard for it, practiced it day and night. But, on the “d-day”, I forgot my speech and became the laughing stock in the school for the next few days. I felt humiliated and embarrassed. I was in shambles not only because people mocked me but I failed myself.
But as the saying goes that “When it gets tough, the tough gets going”, I too didn’t lose faith in myself. I didn’t let the thought of not ever going to the stage overpower my will to come back. The moment you start believing in yourself and start working towards your purpose, things start turning in your favor.
So, in my opinion failing in the pursuit of something is way better than not trying because of the fear of failure. Because acknowledging failure opens doors for improvement while running away from the fear of it limits your capabilities.
