Aditya Birla Group, the 162-year old, Indian conglomerate, whose mission is to deliver value to its customers, shareholders as well as its employees, has made a mark in the country by delivering products in almost all the spheres. Aditya Birla Group has left no stone unturned and has shown its prowess in agribusiness, cement, chemicals, e-commerce, finance, mining, retail, and telecommunication. It has molded itself according to the contemporary lifestyles while standing up to what it believes in.
At times, when India faces the problem of unemployment, this conglomerate has provided job opportunities to around 1,20,000 employees belonging to over 42 nationalities.
Since Aditya Birla Group has forayed into such different areas, it has been a part of my life at some point or the other. With the outlets of their in-house brands like Louis Philippe, Peter England, Van Heusen and the American brand like Forever 21, it has also targeted us as millennials. Pantaloons is another brand which has touched and molded, not just my fashion statement, but also my family’s and friend’s alike.
The beautiful Bandra-Worli Sea Link is another beautiful standing testimony of how they’ve made India beautiful, while connecting the two sides of the city, Mumbai.
The Idea-Vodafone merger has provided Indians with a robust ecosystem of cellular towers. They have understood that India is where the rational consumer is, and have penetrated in the sector by providing them with call and data service at competitive prices.
Moreover, the company never shies away from CSR activities. They have collaborated with Startup India to foster innovation, improve customer satisfaction and address the environmental concerns. The group has transcended its boundaries and worked for those whom they care about, through the welfare driven activities in about 5000 villages. With its motto of social inclusion, it has raised its CSR investments to over Rs. 500 crores, while affecting the lives of countless men, women, and children.
This is how big, Aditya Birla Group is, in not just my life, but the lives of those billions of people.
