The products or services that it provides has been an integral part of our lives in some shape or form. Be it the cloth we wear, the network we use, the buildings we stay in, or be it even the fertilizers that are used. The list goes on and it has painted its colours in our society.
Let me share my thoughts from a millennia’s perspective. A millennial needs attention, he needs luxury, he needs fashion, he needs service and his needs goes on. Aditya Birla Group has managed to address a lot of them.
Clothing in the Indian society is not just a product that you wear but also a symbol. It becomes a fashion statement, a status symbol, a comfort and ranges from a need, a want and a desire. Aditya Birla Group sells in house and other branded apparel via brick-and-mortar stores and via online stores. The clothing brands acts an umbrella for Louis Philippe, Allen Solly, Van Heusen, Peter England and lot more. It has positioned its products focussing on different segments of the society.
My story is as a millennial on the Aditya Birla Group Brand that has made an impact on my life through its clothing.
February 10
th 2012: A decision I had to make, was it going to be an attire I would love to wear on my farewell or a saving I would like to make for the Valentine’s Day. (Tough call)
Let me just rewind and tell you my story, on 8
th February I had been informed by my school authorities about the date, timings and the attire for my farewell for class 12
th. It was decided to be held on 12
th February, I was left with just 4 days remaining for the farewell and 6 days for the Valentine’s Day. Since I didn’t have the attire (formal suit) I had to buy one. My dilemma was, if I asked money from my parents for the suit, then asking money again for Valentine’s day was out of the question (since I had saved only a little). The money given to me to buy the suit was limited. I thought about a lot many options and decided to buy a cheaper one. But the suits in the cheaper range were affordable at a cheaper cost but were distasteful at a higher price. None of them suited me, nothing matched my fittings. Finally on 10
th February, after losing all the hope I decided to give one last try, and look for other options. Peter England, a shiny and glossy store I saw while looking for options. From outside the store portrayed a look of the best in class, a luxury brand and an expensive one as well. When entered the store with all hopes lost, the greetings of the sales person revived me, the prices of the clothes gave me hope and the fittings of the suit according to my needs gave me satisfaction. I found the suit at the price I could have afforded, a fitting that would fit my comfort and colour that would complement me. I purchased the suit at my budgeted price and was able to save money for the Valentine’s Day. Since then I have been not just been a regular customer but a loyal one too to the Brand. Even though that day’s valentine is no more with me today, but Peter England has been there with me forever more. That’s the impact that Aditya Birla Group has made on people’s lives.
