A small incident to recite the tale of how brand like Aditya Birla Group impacts lives not just in materialistic ways , but brings people closer , cultivates bonding and creates stories to tell. Few years back ,when Pantaloons has its store opening in Karol Bagh ,Delhi , little did I know that it would bring a lot of stories along with it. I have always seen my mother doing things for others rather than for herself especially when you have two daughters. Growing up, my mother dressing us up in clothes of all shades and colours , somehow she was veraciously living through us . After many visits to the Pantaloons store, my mother decided to finally indulge herself, there was a huge collection of women kurtas and what i witnessed was a never seen before sight ,i saw her transform into a teenager so excited to dress up ,express herself and feel good about herself. Now , this has became a running joke in our family as to how my mother every time passes through the store , has to check up with the latest trend, update herself and excitedly tell us about it. Someone has rightly said " The quickest way to know a woman is to go shopping with her”. The vast variety, colours , combinations , sizes and affordable prices of Pantaloons , Aditya Birla Group has truly changed not only mine or my mom's but everyone's life
The challenges i overcame to achieve my ambitions in life.
It was 2013, I stood at the Annual Day holding my Academic Excellence award in 10th standard. One of my biggest achievements , but what immediately followed are the remarks like " science leni chahiye thi, itne number aye hai". Every relative of mine was disappointed by the fact that I had interest in a field other than science. But it didn’t end here even after my 12th standard commerce results , people pressurised me to take up Chartered Accountant as that is the most lucrative job , I had a long calls from relatives convincing me all the way and never ever bothered to ask me what i want to do. But it's been my parents who believed in me and let me decide what I wanted out of life and career. Even then it was not easy , i struggled with self doubts about not being ambitious enough to take up the paths that are considered to be "tough to crack" or "career breakthroughs”.
But as the saying goes, "Don’t let someone else's opinion of you become your reality"
It holds true for me. I chose my career on the basis of my interest rather than what people expected out of me.One needs to follow their instincts and interests and work hard.
I brought this into practice and am currently pursuing MBA in HR and nudging aside all the comments like " finance / marketing has better scope"
Taking my calculated risk , interest and efforts to build a career for myself.
