Aditya Birla Group products have been an integral part of my life since childhood. Remember the school days when we used to fight for the lunch box?? Well, the aluminium wrap from "freshwrapp"(Hindalco) kept the ‘parathas’ hot and fresh. My father has always been a regular at Peter England and growing up I have realized why. The comfort and design of attires from brands like Peter England, Louis Phillipe, and Van Heusen are unmatched. And on top of that, dresses from Forever 21 always come to my rescue when I can't decide on presents. I am a native of Bhubaneswar, and Pantaloons was the one of the 1st shopping mall experience we had exposure to. Then comes Idea cellular network with viral advertisements and its catchphrase "Get Idea". The service and the data plans were quintessential for a college student like me. Being a civil undergraduate the popularity of Ultratech Cement “The Engineer's Choice" is well known to me. And it was this product which gave life to my family house. Aditya Birla Group with its innovative and diversified products will always be an integral part of our lives.
THE BATTLE WITHIN…
"In the depth of winter, I finally learned that within me lay an invincible summer"~ Albert Camus. Truly said, life is always a challenge and we evolve as a person when we face it. My story is no different. I have always tried my best to help others but my biggest challenge was that I could not say NO to anyone when required. It may not seem as big a hurdle most people face, but I believe the battle within is the fiercest battle one faces. When I entered the corporate world, this weakness was a big setback for me. A few months into a project, my teammates started taking advantage of this. At the start, it was a blessing in disguise for me as I had to do more work and I learned more. But as my responsibilities grew, I had to prioritize my work so as to be efficient and productive. When I became the point of contact for major applications, I had to delegate tasks to team members and many times I had to finish them on my own extending my working hours. In a world now, where the emotional quotient is taking over intelligence quotient, we need to be focussed on our works and deadlines. I have always worked as a team player and my efforts have been appreciated by my manager and other teammates. But trying to shoulder extra work decreased my efficiency as well as impacted the team's productivity. With time I had to be straight forward and firm. This led to strife between me and a few of my teammates. I tried to conciliate things, and it helped to some extent. Gradually I learned that in life I won't concur with every individual I come across, but I need to give my optimum efforts and steer clear of negativity. I will always hold on to my integrity and do my part for the society.
