ABG has grown into a multinational Conglomerate. It is Global Leader in Aluminium rolling, Also the market leader in the telecom sector of India.
I grew up in the Solapur district of Maharashtra, a remote rural India. In the last decade, the stable mobile network was the luxury of big towns here. People around me used to go to the rooftop and raise their hills to catch the network. It was the IDEA who brought the stable, reliable, and quality network to the remote part of Maharashtra, and still, it is IDEAs competitive advantage. Also, I never heard call dropping problem with IDEA.
So I think IDEA in turn ABG has changed the lives of millions by connecting them with their loved ones and making digital world citizen. I consider this the Biggest Impact ABG has created.
Talking about my challenges, I feared public speaking. I always wanted to work for a multinational organization and lead the teams. Being from a rural background, I never had any formal training in public speaking. So I always feared to go on the dice. When I joined an Automobile company after graduation, my job was to lead a team of 50 associates. When I was first addressing them, I froze, I was fumbling while speaking. But quitting was not an option, so I went on dice daily and addressed the team, and I got better every day. I realized that fear holding back was only in my head. After one year, I became so good that I was promoted to lead a team 185 associates with four supervisors directly reporting to me.
