As a student pursuing my MBA in marketing, I’ve always held retail close to my heart. It has evolved along the years as I have, and it almost translates into a personal journey of growth for me and my family. Their fashion house Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited which started in 1988 is the one I was most aware of among all its businesses. I have been using their products since years. The thing I like about this business is the kind of variety in products they offer. Clothes build part of your confidence and we have all felt this confidence sometime or the other in our life. Their large range of services helps us choose our comfort and confidence. They bring something for everyone no matter their gender, age or background. Their reach is everywhere and they are making a difference along the way.
I have been a user of Vodafone since I have had a cellular device given to me. The transition from Hutch to Vodafone in 2007, to the merger of Aditya Birla’s Idea and Vodafone in 2018, the name Vodafone has been synonymous with my everyday functioning and is now my main source of connection with people around me.
How you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far
Fear was the challenge that I have faced my entire life. It makes me stop and think of all the bad consequences of my next step. It is a challenge which has made my decisions for me. I have tried to get over it or at least reduce its impact.
The biggest challenge I have faced is surviving, currently. As a fresher, I have never lived out of my comfort zone. I have always had the physical backing of my parents in whatever I did.
Shifting in a new city at the age of 21, with no known faces was no less than a task. I could not manage interacting with people, survival became very difficult. But I had always worked for this stage in life. So I kept pushing myself, did everything to not lose my individuality and finally, I can say that I am “adaptable” when it comes to the challenges that will be thrown at me ahead.
The good thing is that today fear isn’t the reason for me to miss opportunities in life. I overcame all the challenges in my life by being calm and trusting myself.
