It's the Durga Puja season in Bengal, shopping spree is on and people are rushing to the market to buy new clothes. What is the one location they love to go to? Pantaloons! Yes, the Aditya Birla Group has indeed touched people's lives in multiple aspects.
Founded in 1857 and currently the third largest Indian conglomerate, Aditya Birla Group has established itself as a hallmark in facets of BPO, IT, Financial Services, fashion & retail and much more, across 35 countries. Talk about Vodafone-Idea, it is also a subsidiary of Aditya Birla Group! The conglomerate is actually so large that it impacts our lives in the minutest levels. For instance, the vegetables we eat may have been grown from Aditya Birla fertilizers, the ink in my pen has traces of carbon black, the building under whose roof I’m sitting, may have been made from Ultra Tech cement.
It is difficult to quantify the effect that Aditya Birla Group has created, it is just safe to say that it has made our lives large. For me personally, I am a person who likes to wear branded clothes. Pantaloons would be the place I would visit any day. Offering branded clothes at affordable prices, I feel Aditya Birla manifests in me the idea that “clothes make the man”.
In life, there is a take-away from every situation. Aditya Birla Group’s success story teaches us that if we keep our heads up and be innovative, we can indeed make our lives large.
Challenges that I have faced: “If you resist change, you resist life.”
If I am to say that 5:30 am PE classes during my undergrad days was the biggest challenge I ever faced, I would lie to myself. What is the one biggest thing that keeps a man moving forward? It is hope.
Hope is what keeps us alive and it is what sets us free. When I was a toddler, the biggest challenge to me was, walking three steps! When I went to primary school, learning the Alphabet seemed like the biggest challenge. At Middle school, Algebra was a demon. At high school, Calculus was a nightmare and during my Undergrad, studying away from home were what you would call “Challenges”. As I go forward, I know I’ll face even more complex challenges.
Studying in a B-School, time management is probably the biggest challenge. Writing an article amidst the endless assignments is seemingly the challenge. If looked at from above, life is nothing but a train ride, interspersed with stretches of dark tunnels and clear skies. Thus, the definition of “challenge” is a little different for me. For me, everything is a challenge and that is normal. Just to state a latest “challenge” in my life, my mother fell from the stairs just before I was going pursue my MBA journey. She had incurred multiple fractures and her face was not the most motivating thing for a child who was going thousands of kilometers away to pursue a degree. Here I am, inhaling hope and exhaling challenges. #ABGLP #ABGLPWOOME #ABGLPWOOMESEASON2-SIBMBENGALURU
