Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman of Aditya Birla Group’s mantra for success is ‘If your first instinct is to run away from failures, then perhaps you are doing it the wrong way’. I have adopted this mantra in my daily life. In my final year project when I started to implement I was not able to make the project work and started feeling disappointed but I never gave up and started to work on it studying hardware coding languages and finally I was able to complete the project which was awarded as one of the best project in my college.
Another thing that I have learnt is to never be afraid while entering into unknown domain. When I started my career in Accenture as a developer I always wanted to go for Java based projects as I had interest in Java but when I was allocated an Enterprise Resource Planning project that was based on Procedural Language Structures Query Language (PL/SQL) which was altogether a different ball game for me. I was a little bit worried about not being able to learn a new programming language within a month but then I worked hard and pushed my limits and was able to gain good knowledge about PL/SQL. This proved to be beneficial as I was able to learn new language that could have add more value to my CV.
So I understood that no matter how intimidating your problem is, face it with a positive outlook and work hard towards the solution just like what Aditya Birla Group did by analyzing the problems and successfully launched various products.

Aditya Birla Group has been a way of life for many people. It has influenced many people as it is ubiquitous in every aspect of life. It has made its presence felt in various domains such as telecommunications, FMCG, Cements, Textile and Retail. Aditya Birla Group has made a lasting impact on my life and continuous to do so. 'More Megastores', an Aditya Birla Group retail subsidiary was opened in Mira road, Mumbai when I was 10 years old that was my first exposure to supermarket where you could get every product you need at one place. I used to buy everything from there ranging from books to snacks. The products that we used to get were of great quality as well as economical. When I was away from my family I had to shop for food items like rice, wheat etc. It was very confusing to select good quality products but 'More megastores' helped me with great extent by providing an excellent source also of premium quality products at one single store, as most engineers like me are quite lazy when it comes to shopping. Being a loyal customer and have had a great shopping experience it was a no brainer to choose Aditya Birla Group as my shopping destination.
Aditya Birla Group also has helped me to stay connected with my family and friends while I was studying in Pune. Idea launched the 3G service with a tagline ‘Ho Gaye Hai 3G main Busy’ that provided faster data connections at economical rates than other competitors. Due to this I was able to video call with my parents, thus Idea proved to be the cure for my home sickness.
Aditya Birla Group’s clothing line includes Peter England, Allen Solly, Louis Philippe whose products form a major chunk of my wardrobe now. The variety provided by these brands in formal clothing is phenomenal. Being a part of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade we have to dress like a professional executive, so, I can only trust Aditya Birla Group’s clothing Line. The casual part of my wardrobe was taken care by Pantaloons, another Aditya Birla Group subsidiary which provided a wide variety of clothes and shoes that were fashionable as well as light on the pocket.
Aditya Birla Group is the integral part of every aspect of my life and has helped me to fulfil basic needs of life such as Food-More Stores, Clothes- Pantaloons, and Shelter-Ultra Tech Cement.
