Aditya Birla Group (ABG), an Indian multinational conglomerate, established in 1857 by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla operates in 38 countries around the world. ABG has played a significant role in my life, in fact it is adding values to almost every Indian directly or indirectly by its wide range of products. I still remember my last year of under graduation days before the placement season and I have to buy the formal clothes for the placement process and therefore my friends and I went to the shopping mall to buy formals clothes for the first time in life. As recommended by my father , we entered in the Peter England showroom, till than I always thought that it’s an international brand based outside India, but later while talking to the Peter England executives I came to know that it’s an Indian brand and that too of ABG, and that gave me a proud feeling because in my family my father and my uncle always preferred the clothes of Peter England without being aware that it’s an Indian brand . Later I also found that ABG has always been in my life whether it’s the Ultratech cement used in the construction of almost every household, the idea cellular, the retail shop “ pantaloons”, where it has garments for every member of house to Birla life insurance policy, ABG has always been there in front of my eyes and I didn’t realize that until that day when I went shopping with friends.
How I overcame challenges in my life
One of my most significant achievement in my life is overcoming my fear for the subject of Mathematics. And this was the case not only with me, in fact, most of the students also have fear for mathematics subject because of the calculations, the formulas, the variables x and y which we never able to relate to their applications and uses in real life. I was petrified of Mathematics subject till 9
th class, until then I always somehow cleared the exam with around 50-55 percent in mathematics, I used to skip schools by giving different excuses at home just to not to attend the mathematics class because I haven’t done the homework and always feared that the teacher will ask a question from me. During the 10
th class which is very important to every Indian student, I told my father about my fear of the subject. My father supported me, inspired me to try new strategies and give mathematics another chance. In fact, he started to teach me in the night every day after he comes from office. I was anxious but determined, so I worked extra hard. After a whole bunch of ups and downs, and support from my father I finally succeeded and scored an unprecedented 95 in the final and thus was able to overcome my fear of Mathematics and it never came back and never haunted me again.
And thus, it is rightly said By Zig Ziglar “
Fear has two meanings: ‘forget everything and run’ or ‘face everything and rise. ‘the choice is yours” and I choose the latter one and I am proud of it.
