What an !dea Sirji !! The tagline had been a part of my conversation connecting me with my peers from parts of India that remain unvisited. Idea Cellular had been connecting me with my loved ones at distance miles apart ever since I had begun my education and career across cities. India’s number 1 cement brand is a share of the dream my family had seen since my childhood. Ultratech Cement had
beautifully built our home, the memories of which still makes me nostalgic. The Ultratech Cement industry at Korpana, Awarpur had created jobs for people from my neighborhood. As a part of Corporate social responsibility, Aditya Birla Group had established a CBSE school at Awarpur (ABG
public school) imparting education to children in my hometown. India’s largest fashion network with 11000 points of sales had gained my loyalty and I joined its 22M loyalty customers in the early days of my college. At days when I had to adjust with small pocket money during college to the time when I had become a spendthrift while working, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited had catered to my fashion needs. Pantaloons, Planet Fashion, People and Peter England, a very reasonably priced clothing range had styled the middle-class segment since years. Allen Solly and Van Heusen had styled me professionally for interviews and meetings. Forever 21 is one of my favorite brands. I will soon be exploring more into the SIP plans offered by one of the leading mutual fund investment company in India, Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Funds.
How Did I overcome the challenges in my life?
I was born and raised in a low-income family in a village where my mother was the sole breadwinner. My family had faced many financial hardships. This made me a responsible person at a very early age. Despite the financial constraints and lack of exposure and facilities, I was a bright student at school. Having no idea about what career path to follow, I had decided to join a coaching class in Telangana for my IIT and AIEEE preparation. Being from a rural area, moving to a city was a completely different experience for me. I was introduced to many new experiences and things. I had sometimes faced peer pressure from extremely smart students who had been trained for coaching since their schooling and people from well to do family. Also, the language barrier, lifestyle and culture were a completely different concept for me back then since it was the first time ever, I had been away from home. Despite these circumstances, I passed AIEEE with flying colors. Eventually, through college I had evolved and learnt to tackle hardships, to manage with little that I have and make the best out of everything. During my work life, my family was going through a major crisis. I had supported my family financially throughout my working tenure. At the same time, I was preparing for my CAT exams. It had become extremely difficult for me to manage my family, work and CAT preparation but I kept going facing all the challenges that came my way. I am now a part of IIM Nagpur family and have surely become a deterministic and responsible person.
