Why Aditya Birla Group is big in my life?
Aditya Birla Group is an Indian multinational Conglomerate. It operates in 35 countries with more than 1,20,000 employees worldwide. ABG touches millions in the world as it has interests in staple fibre, metals, cement (largest in India), yarn, branded apparel, chemicals, fertilizers, insulators, telecom, financial services, BPO and IT services. ABG has impacted the lives of everyone of us even if we don’t know it.
Connecting with my friends and family has become easier with high speed mobile internet because of Vodafone Idea Ltd. In a B-school, formals are an integral part of proper dressing. ABG caters to our demand of formal clothing by providing an exclusive range by Allen Solly and Vanheusen. Another sector that ABG caters to is cement. Ultratech cement is ensuring the integrity and strength of the infrastructure I frequently use (Bandra Worli Sea Link), the housing society where I reside and all the educational buildings. There are many more products and brands of this group that directly impact my life. The Aditya Birla Group also indirectly impacts my life by taking measures to improve our society and country and making it a better place for all of us to live. The Group is also acting responsible towards its actions which will impact the future generations and has thus rightly taken Sustainability into account.
This is how Aditya Birla Group is big in my life.
How I overcame challenges to achieve my ambitions in life so far.
Challenges are a part and parcel of life. A life without challenges will be too boring. Challenges test your resilience towards difficult or unknown situations. Recently, the challenge that I faced was taking admission in a reputed business school.
The challenge was two-fold: 1) since I was in my final year of graduation, I had to prepare for competitive entrance exams along with studying for my graduation semester exams; and 2) I was on a certain backfoot compared to other aspirants during interviews because I am a fresher. But I was determined to secure my future in a reputed school. Hence, I applied full concentration in order to succeed, despite attending college daily. The challenges I encountered were that I had to allocate appropriate time for studying for both my semester exams and entrance exams. For this, I developed a time table so that I do not lag behind in any of the things. Also, there is a certain stigma surrounding the level of competition and difficulty of entrance exams. To overcome this challenge, I decided to compare my current performance only with my past performance and not get bogged down by the score of others. In essence, I decided to compete with myself- I set targets for each mock so that I could improve every time. Also, I was determined to perform better than those aspirants who had work experience. Such planning helped me overcome my hurdles and finally helped me take admission into SDA Bocconi Asia Center, Mumbai.
