Moving on to the hurdles I faced, I completed my schooling in the vernacular system, which posed as a huge challenge in front of me when I started preparing for the engineering entrance examination which was to be written in English. I began from scratch and learned the terminologies of all three subjects in English. I took time, put my efforts in place, to finally get admission in one of the most prestigious engineering colleges of India – Harcourt Butler Technological Institute, Kanpur. It was during the 2nd year of my graduation when one of my friends came to me with the problem of lack of quality education in remote areas. Having suffered from the difficulty related to language myself, I decided to provide support to the community. The task was challenging especially with my studies in place and having very little resources available with me. But I decided that I will not get bogged down. With the ideology that one can overcome any obstacle and achieve anything by the power of the dominant thoughts of the mind, some of my friends and I came together for the cause. We formed a society in a remote area of Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh with the aim of imparting elementary education to the unaided students by creating a productive educational environment.
