How is Aditya Birla Group big in your Life ?
Aditya Birla Group – not just a name, an emotion. Ever since childhood, Aditya Birla Group has helped me create friendships and bonds that have lasted forever. Although, some credit goes to my mother as well. While in higher secondary school, I was the only one in the entire classroom who brought a tiffin box to school. During the interval, my classmates would attack my tiffin box all at once. We shared my tiffin box and praised my mother's culinary skills. Back then, I never realized there was someone else who also deserved praise. It was none other than Aditya Birla Group. My mother used to cover chapatis and vegetables with Freshwrapp which kept the food warm till the interval. This is how Aditya Birla Group made a big contribution in helping me build friendships that I will cherish all my life.
However, Aditya Birla Group’s contribution to my life is not limited to this incident only. After the CAT examinations was a very crucial stage which involved attending interviews for selection into the premium business schools of India. My nervousness was pretty evident on my face. To calm me down, my father gifted me a formal suit and told me, “Son, in interviews, the first impression is the last impression and the interviewer decides in the first twenty seconds whether to select a candidate or not. You should dress to impress. I followed his advice and made it to Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneswar. Any guesses from where he bought the suit?
It was Pantaloons which comes under the umbrella of Aditya Birla Group. This is how Aditya Birla Group has been a big part of my life.
Find Motivation in the Trust People show in you
When I was a kid, my grandfather used to tell me a story about a dragon. In the story, there was a small dragon who couldn't fly yet. The dragon was very scared to take its first flight but the mother dragon supported and motivated it and finally, the baby dragon was confident enough to take its first flight. The moral of the story was, 'Find motivation in the trust people show in you'. This moral had a deep impact on me but as time passed, the moral also went obsolete.
A few months ago, after I was done with the CAT examination and had to appear for interviews, I was under a lot of pressure. This was leading me into depression. My parents saw this as a matter of concern and tried to talk to me about it before one of the interviews. This was when I cried my heart out to them. My parents have always been very supportive. My father told me that it didn’t matter whether I made it to a premium business school or not. They were always proud of me. I just had to go out there and give my best. I found these words extremely motivating. They reminded me of the story that my grandfather told me. I found motivation in the trust my parents showed in me. After this, I decided that I had to live up to their expectations. This boosted me with confidence to attend the interviews and I finally secured admission in Xavier Institute of Technology. This episode taught me the lesson that there will always be obstacles in life but if you have people who trust you, you will find the courage to leap over those obstacles.
