Aditya Birla Group is one of the biggest Indian Conglomerate. It has played a big role in every big step of my life. Being a woman who has worked in a corporate world and now has started studying in a B-School, I've found that there are not many options when it comes to formal dressing for women. But, ABG has insured that our needs are met by offering us exclusive ranges like ‘Van Heusen women’ and ‘Allen Solly Women’.
In this day and age, when I am pursuing my post graduate degree and staying away from my family, Aditya Birla Group through Vodafone has ensured that I am able to connect with my family at all times. Having access to internet has been a big help in me improving myself over the years.
UltraTech Cement has helped maintain the integrity of my home and a lot of the infrastructure we use on daily basis does ensuring the safety of both me and my family.
To help the society, ABG through its Centre for Community initiatives and rural development has been working with the likes of WHO and Bill and Melinda Gates foundation to bring smiles the community and give a push towards building a better and sustainable way of life.
Making my life Bigger and Better
"Worry about being better; bigger will take care of itself" - Gary Comer
I believe that in the journey of growing better, we face many challenges. But, it is only during tough times that our patience is tested.
It was October 2017, when a blood test and an ultrasound later confirmed it - PCOS, Poly-Cystic Ovarian Syndrome. It was the same time when I was having hard time in office and was also preparing CAT exam. I was struggling with symptoms like sudden weight gain, pimples and oily skin, facial hair and irregular menstrual cycles. I had terrible mood swings and I also faced depression. I felt a void growing inside of me. My doctors told me “You just have to live with these symptoms for the rest of your life!”. To make things worse, no one understood me.
It was then when I realized that I had to empower myself and take control of my health. I had to do it for myself and no one else could. No pill, no doctor. I’ve actually, I just changed my lifestyle, I do exercise everyday which I never used to do so I do aerobics or Zumba or whatever but I do an hour at the gym every day. Meditating for 15 minutes before bed changed my life completely.
My confidence was boosted. I got promoted at work and I felt confident enough to travel. I did a lot of the things that I didn’t do before.
I started feeling good about myself. I discovered that I had a long way to go and that PCOD cannot really stop me!
No one’s life is perfect. But we all have a lot to be thankful for. I too have a lot to be thankful for. The fact that I am healthy, that I am being loved, that I have a vision for tomorrow, gives me a sense of deep satisfaction.
