Part A – Aditya Birla Group is big in my life. ABG has a great impact over the lives of Indian Subcontinent. In every sphere of a normal Indian lifestyle, they have emerged as an inevitable need. In India, “Roti, Kapda, Makaan” has been always the basic needs, and that also syncs with Maslow’s hierarchy lowest bench mark and here comes in ABG conglomerate that brings in Freshwrapp for the Food, Grasim for clothes and Ultratech for the houses that we built. Its presence can be felt in every walks of life by most Indians. One of the closest encounters of ABG in my life that I wish to share is with its clothing segment-Grasim. My hometown being Gwalior, I take pride in stating that ABG laid down its subsidiary Grasim on 25th August 1947, just after 10 days of Independence in Gwalior. ”Grasim Gwalior” was the full brandname ABG used to project in the market. With a workforce of 20,000 workers & 800 white collar clerks, Grasim produced worldclass linen, cotton, polyster and other varieties of clothing. The mill that it laid down was a state-of-art in itself that had importance at international level from Germany to U.S.A. The share of ABG in whole run of economy of city had a massive chunk of pie.  As it sustained 20,000 families since independence, its importance to economically support lives is undeniable.  Due to socio-political factors, operations discontinued after 46 years. Though the mills locked out in 1993 and ABG disinvested the factory in 2002 and dropped Gwalior from its label “Grasim-Gwalior”, ABG is not lost in the ashes of time.
Another incident from my life - I used to visit my grandpa’s place in summer viz. Nagda(M.P.).That was again a place where ABG had its presence. Grasim had its clothing factory here as well which still continues its operations .Inclusive of this ,Birla gram-a colony built for its workers and Managers and their families, Aditya Birla School-For the educational progress and ISKCON temple for scenic beauty and worshipping. All this proves that ABG is not just a conglomerate but an ecosystem creator that has always taken up the baton for progress of Indian society.
Part B- Overcoming challenges to achieve the ambitions The most significant challenge which I encounter in my daily life is I am a frequent victim of proverb “Jack of all Master of none”. But that’s a viewpoint of a second person. I had been an enthusiastic  learner since childhood who used to grab opportunities and used to excel in them. Being a Goldmedalist in engineering, I have always topped the notches of various academic  and other exams. I always had involvement in extra curriculars like- Anchoring, singing, mimicry, playing instruments etc. I proved my metal in every aspect of life. What I learnt is :
(i)I always grabbed on opportunities and I had hunger to learn and then to master.
(ii)Working in a particular frame is easy and simple. To be a king of your box is always simple. But to win in the situations out of the box makes me a distinct person. (iii)The attitude of considering each difficult situation as a golden chance escalated my identity.
(iv)Dynamic character emerged out.
(v)I realised that my diversity is what makes me parallel to management field.    It still sustains as a challenge, that I deal on regular basis, but thanks to this daily battle that pushed me close to my ambition of becoming a manager.
