Why Aditya Birla group is big in your life?
Aditya Birla Group is the Indian conglomerate, who has prospered in the country by entering almost all the spheres of the market. It has dealt and overcome all the challenges successfully and has made its mark in agribusiness, cement, chemicals, e-commerce, retail, and telecommunication. It will not be wrong if I say that Aditya Birla Group has been immensely significant throughout my whole life. Through their diverse products and services, it has been a part of every Indian’s life since its foundation in 1857. They know well how to catch the customers’ attention with the witty advertisements, be it famous tagline of Idea “What an idea Sirji” or Ultratech Cements “The Engineer’s Choice” or Allen Solly’s “Friday Dressing; Why so serious?”, they know well how to get the recognition.
Aditya Birla Group’s influence in my life started from my school time when my mother used to wrap the sandwiches and parathas for tiffin using FRESHWRAPP and to be honest It still remains an irreplaceable thing in our kitchen.
I still remember when Pantaloons opened its first store in Bhubaneswar and with multiple products and multiple brands, it became the place to go. They had well understood this idea that customers do not necessarily want the most expensive or the cheapest brand, but something that is good in quality.
Brands like VAN HEUSEN, ALLEN SOLLY, AND PETER ENGLAND, with their fresh collections, never disappoint your fashion demand. I remember my recent shopping from the Allen Solly outlet for my new journey in XIMB-XAHR, where the wide range of options really made it confusing for me to choose the best one. My brother is a great fan of PETER ENGLAND collections and he was shocked when he got to know from me that it’s a part of Aditya Birla Group. Thanks to my MBA preparation, which introduced me to the different aspects of these multinational brands.

What really makes Aditya Birla Group the nexus of my dreams is the holistic pursuit of their multi-step agenda, which focuses on management of business operations, conservation of energy and water, management of waste and emissions, protection of human rights and solving the material issues of all stakeholders from their perspective. With their practical roadmaps, they are all set to achieve their vision.
How you overcame the challenges to achieve your ambitions?
I was always that introvert shy kid in school who took time to make friends and it had become very difficult for me to make friends and to adjust in a new place as I had to change almost seven schools during my childhood cause of my father’s job. While I was a kid, I always wanted to be a doctor, like my father, but the interest faded away with time and I decided to explore new aspects of technology and joined engineering. The college life was full of chaos, but my introvert nature and being conscious about what others will think used to make me over concerned. But finally, I decided to push myself out of my comfort zone and I joined various clubs and participated in ramp shows and other competitions to boost my confidence during my freshman year. At first it was difficult for me to have that courage, but eventually, it made me a better and confident person. It was entrepreneurship cell of my college which induced the dream of MBA inside me. It’s true that we get success only outside our comfort zone.
“You have to be uncomfortable in order to be successful, in some ways. If you stay in your comfort zone! You would never do the things that you need to do.” – Lights Poxlietner”. These clubs had taught me time management skill, which I believe is the reason why I was among top 5 students of my class, got a good percentile and was able to get into the top 10 colleges of India to pursue my dream of being HR. Being true to your whole self, this individuation and the courage to do what you dream isn't cake walk. It takes perseverance, but in the long run, it feels awesome.
