Part A
Aditya Birla Group, active in 14 business sectors, is touching millions of lives each day through products
and services. I am one of them. I can recall my first experience with Aditya Birla group was from early
school days when my mother used to pack my lunch box wrapped in Freshwrapp. Since those days
Freshwrapp is a constant in my mother’s kitchen shelf. The second product that remains close to me till
now is my first sim card, Idea. From 2G to 4G now, I have been using the same Idea number from my
first cell phone till now.
Writing about Aditya Birla Group and its impact in my everyday life I cannot miss my go to fashion
brands Van Heusan, People, Forever 21, Allen Solly, LifeStyle and one stop Pantaloons. With brand
outlets in 750+ cities, I never worried about last minute shopping for any event, at any place, owing to
these brands. I still remember I needed formal suit for an interview next day and I did not think twice
and visited Van Heusan where I knew I would find what I want.
Lastly, I would like to mention India’s no. 1 cement, UltraTech Cement which was used to build my
house in year 2000 and also now during renovation in year 2018. It is my father’s trust on the brand
that he was adamant on using UltraTech after 18 years.
Part B
Class 12 is most important academic year for a student. When I was in class 12, I had many plans for the
board examination and my career forward. But all my hopes shattered when I suffered from severe
jaundice just after one month of start of school. I was bed ridden for about 2 months and then when I
recovered and started studying and preparing for competitive and board exams, I met with a major road
accident. The incident took a toll on me both physically and mentally. It was a great challenge for me
now that exams were close and I did not attend school the entire year. I felt like I had to repeat the class
when my friends will be going to college.
While I was bed ridden, I then realized everything is still in my hands, what if only one month is left for
exams, I still have a chance. If I do not give a try and lose hope and do nothing, I will regret it later.
I started studying on my own, I observed the question patterns from previous years and focused only on
important topics. I studied day and night with only one goal in mind that this time will never come back.
I did give my exams and scored 84 percentage. For me that was the biggest challenge I faced and I am
proud of myself that I did not give up that time.
