“Challenges are what makes life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life beautiful.” There would have been a time in most of our lives when we feel demotivated and we struggle to overcome that feeling. I am sure everyone must have faced this situation at some point of time in their life. Presence of challenges in your life is the validation that you are alive. Well to share my experience, I had some setbacks in my past that have left me demotivated and unsatisfied, and overcoming them was bit of a challenge for me. I come from a small city of Chhattisgarh, Bhilai. I have done my graduation from my hometown itself. So, after getting placed in an organisation I had to move out of my home. That was my very first time when I moved out my comfort zone. Also, working of an organisation with no hands on experience was also bit challenging for me. I remember my first day at office. I was excited but bit nervous. My first day and I was introduced to my project team. Interesting thing that happened to me was, the team that I was inducted to, had all the experienced professionals in them, having minimum 2-3yrs of experience and since all of them were experienced and busy doing all the work by themselves only, I was literally left with no work to do. I was not assigned to any responsibility for about a month or a two. That situation was a complete eye opener for me because throughout my graduation and school days, I have always been the top performer and the one who has taken position of responsibilities. But this was a really different experience for me. For the first the two months, I was really feeling different from what I have never experienced in my life. I was feeling very down and low in confidence. As a fresher, I was finding it difficult to make my position in the team. Hence, I discussed the same with my manger. I was very vocal about the fact that I was responsible enough to handle a position of responsibility and was willing to take up any opportunity to prove my work. Fortunately I had very supportive team lead and manager for guidance. They helped me throughout the transition period, by providing me the right set of environment and support to get acquainted with the new culture. With time, dedication and proper guidance, I was able to establish my worth in the team. That was the time when I realized, how important it is to have a healthy work environment in corporate world? How a great work culture can help in increasing the efficiency of an organisation? Why Aditya Birla Group is big for me? The vision of Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla, to create a brand of immense worth with certain set of goals and aspirations that believes in creating value for its customers, is something that has led the group from being the architects of India to a global powerhouse that is known across the globe. Aditya Birla Group, the conglomerate and a fortune 500 company, supported by its talented workforce and spread across 35 countries has always believed in creating value products for its consumers that touches their lives and empowers them. The group’s evolution with time, reaching new heights through its ventures but at the same time always being loyal to its customer base reflects how genuine the group is. Coming from a small city, my very first encounter of Aditya Birla group was Pantaloons. I remember the very first branded cloth that I bought was from Pantaloons only. What I really like about their clothing line is the clothes are very comfortable, affordable and most importantly they are preferred by majority of the people because they have universal appeal.  It has given me the feeling of being the part of group that enjoys wearing branded clothes. Idea network has been the part of my life since I got my first cell phone. Their network coverage and marketing campaigns always stood out from the crowd of other telecom clients. Speaking about marketing campaign, I recently saw the campaign of Aditya Birla Group, 2019. The new marketing approach of ABGL to revamp its old identity from being the architects of global India to supreme powerhouse, empowering people is very interesting. To satisfy the needs of new competitive world, the campaign “Big is what big does” is something that reflects thoughtfulness and innovativeness. This is something that inspires me a lot. The company’s approach towards CSR activities is also something that makes me respect the group more. While going through the CSR initiatives taken by the group, be it in focus areas like education, healthcare, infrastructure, skill development; one can easily decipher the dedication and sincerity of the group towards overall development of the nation, keeping environmental concerns on check. Truly, Aditya Birla Group has a huge impact on my life and has helped me evolve and grow as a person. It gave me freedom, confidence, developed my perspectives, made me more responsible and dynamic. Its values and dedication is something that I look up to and I would love to remain associated with this group throughout as a happy consumer.
