Why Aditya Birla Group is big in my life?
From technology to fashion, be it economic or luxurious, Aditya Birla group has always been an indispensable part of my life. Be it Allen Solly or Van Heusen, Ted Baker or Ralph Lauren, Forever 21 or Louis Philippe, this group never fails to amaze me with its quality and reliability. Being a Mumbaikar, I am proud to associate myself to Aditya Birla Group as it is responsible for creating one of the most talked-about bridge, the "Bandra Worli Sea Link" in Mumbai which is an example in its own.
The Aditya Birla group itself says that Big is Massive, Microscopic, Indispensable, Lifeline, Great, Style, Making distances disappear, In your palm and Big is for everyone. Being an active member of an NGO, I feel that the CSR initiatives of the group to improve the social and economic status of the weaker sections of our society is extremely close to me as it is helping in the overall development of the country.
Be it fashion or mobile network or construction, Aditya Birla has set new records in each and every field it is in. Vodafone-Idea after the merger has become the world's second-largest telecom operator, two garments of this group are sold every second and every second car in the world has tyres of Birla carbon. It is also the third-largest NBFC in India. Aditya Birla Group with its immense presence has been a part and parcel of my life and I feel proud to be associated with it.
How I overcame challenges to achieve my ambitions in life so far?
A challenging situation I faced was in my previous organization where I, along with my team joined a new project as freshers. The project had several technological challenges and uncertainties. When others were wary of the path ahead, I took the initiatives to understand the end to end business flow by devoting extra time to interact with my leads and managers every day. I was made the in-charge of the tasks and became the central point of contact between the client and my team. Though the team was high spirited they often digressed from generating output due to tiffs and inexperience. However, I made sure that the team worked together and delivered the work on time and this refined my conflict management skills. Since it was our first big project and everyone was new in the team, it was difficult to manage and encourage them to work together. But in the end, with everyone's effort, we succeeded in creating an impact on the client and giving them the confidence to believe in this set of new employees. I was conferred with “ON-THE-SPOT-AWARD” for my hard work and proactiveness. This experience not only improved my team management skills but also helped me understand how to resolve conflicts within the team and establish an output-driven and conducive work culture. It helped me boost my confidence and made me believe in my ability to remain focused and disciplined.
