Aditya Birla Group founded in 1857 by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla is India’s third biggest private conglomerate. The group is vastly diversified in various sectors such as non-ferrous metals, cement, fashion, textile, financial services, etc. The story I present here is about Aditya Birla Sunlife Insurance. I have had previous experience while buying an insurance scheme for myself and it was such a hassle. So in early 2019, when I was looking for health insurance for my mother, I knew it was going to be a challenge and you cannot avoid it either cause when it comes to securing your life you want the best product. Plus my mother is diabetic. I checked almost 5-6 insurance schemes but it was difficult to get the right match. Even though there are many companies with diabetes-specific insurance plans, my mother being a Type – B diabetic, the insurance scheme approval was my biggest concern. There are a few other important parameters I checked to select a good plan, such as - exclusions, pre-hospitalization days insured, post-hospitalization days insured, no-claim bonus, etc. My agent then suggested me Aditya Birla Sunlife Insurance. It was loaded with features and the plan covers doctor’s all the basic features plus consultation, diagnostic tests, medical bills besides hospitalization. It also had extra features like a wellness coach and a rewards system for improvement in health condition which was not available with other plans. All through the registration process, the customer support was very helping. The plan was approved in about a week’s time. Though I have not yet made a claim for the expenses yet, I am sure that part will be taken care of Aditya Birla Sunlife Insurance as well. Overall a very happy customer experience.
We all face challenges in our lives and I believe it is all part of the learning curve. My challenges started as soon as I stepped out of my hometown and into Kota after completing my 12
th standard. It was a different world out there and there were scores of students. The challenge was in front of me, to stand my ground a crowd of 2,00,000 students preparing in Kota for IIT-JEE. The challenge was multi-pronged – the learning curve was steep and a 2-year course had to be completed in 8 months, the food was bad (I was used to home food and missed it a lot) and the temperature. However one of the biggest challenges was to stay away from all the elements which could have distracted me from studies and these elements were in numbers too. But as someone said, “it gets easier, if you do the same thing every day” it really got easier. I stuck to my schedule, did my homework and slept properly. I gave my heart to my studies. A challenge becomes your schedule if you have the determination to prove yourself and it was all I had when I went to Kota, the determination to prove my mettle and make my parents proud. It was a journey which pushed my limits and I came out with flying colors. I cleared both IIT-JEE and AIEEE.
