Shakespeare has rightly said, “All’s well that ends well”. Our three-week-long induction programme at SIMSR, probably the longest among all B-Schools in India, came to an end with a bang. The induction reached the climax with All Is Well, a three-day cultural extravaganza organized by the Students’ Activity Forum (SAF), such that I bet you would have never seen before.
All Is Well is an inter-branch cultural competition (yes a competition right at the beginning of the academic session), which acted as a major ice-breaker among all the budding managers. During those three unforgettable days we performed dance, skit, vocal and instrumental music, art, or anything unique that set us apart from others and gave us precious brownie points. We were given a number of passive tasks as well, that required us to keep our presence of mind in all situations and also enhanced the unity among our batch mates.
We were also engaged in ‘selling and branding’ our courses to others, to increase visibility using unique and creative skills of marketing. The whole campus was lit by interesting activities of All Is Well – a festival in itself at SIMSR. The spirit of healthy competition is imbibed in each and every student at SIMSR during these happening, draining hectic yet fun-filled days. The bonds developed during All is Well were so strong that even though we were competing against each other, the bonhomie among all students was reflected when students from one branch visited other’s practice rooms to serve tea/coffee at 3 AM in the night.
All Is Well is like a final, exaggerated refresher before everyone dives into the hectic MBA routine with sleepless nights. Those three days will surely be the most memorable ones, where I made most of my bonds and friendships that will be cherished forever!
