What is SNAP?
Symbiosis International University (SIU) conducts the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) every year which is an entrance exam that aspiring students need to take to get admission in any institute registered under SIU.
The SNAP Test 2015 will be held on 20
th December, 2015 which falls on a Sunday and the results will be out on 11
th January, 2016.
Why SNAP 2015?
SIBM and SCMHRD are ranked among the top 20 b-schools in the country. Along with those two, 12 other institutes under SIU and many other b-schools accept SNAP scores. This is why every year on an average almost 50,000 students take the SNAP Test.

Test Structure
The duration of the test is 2 hours. It contains 4 sections which include English, Quant, General Awareness and Logical Reasoning. This will be an objective test where the candidate will have 4 options to choose the right answer from. But every wrong answer reduces your score by .25 marks. Remember to use a black/blue ball point pen only.

A few important topics for General English would include Reading Comprehension, Substitution for a word, Correct the sentence, Synonyms/Antonyms, Complete the sentence, Idioms/Phrases/Proverbs, Jumbled up sentences, Odd one out, Syllogisms, Analogies etc.
For the Quantitative section, topics like Trigonometry, Distance Speed & Time, Profit & Loss, Mensuration, Permutation & Combination, Linear & Quadratic equations, Ratio & Proportion, Simple & Compound interest etc. would be important.
General Awareness would include current affairs, major corporate events, sports, science, finance, history, CEO’s of big companies, politics, social issues etc. Make sure to read the newspapers on a daily basis and read the latest edition of books like Manorama.
Finally, for analytical & logical reasoning, a few important topics could be matrix arrangement, family tree, finding out probably true, column graphs, pie chart, bar graph, critical reasoning, puzzles, statements & conclusions, visual reasoning, valid inferencing etc.
Finally prepare well and be calm while writing the paper. And always remember, ‘The more you sweat in practice, the less you bleed in battle’.
