ABG or simply say Aditya Birla Group, who not know about this company. They have merchandise from fashion to the mining industry. When I was a kid, it was a daily routine of my mother to wake me up in at 6 am in the morning but before that my mother uses to wake as early as 5 am so that she can cook fresh food for my lunch. As the food was prepared in the morning and then it has to remain healthy till the time I eat it so what my mom use to do it was to wrap my food in an aluminium foil and guess what which aluminium foil it was “Freshwrapp”. Hence from that time I was exposed to the products of ABG. And I grew up looking out many commercial ads and I remember one of those in which it shows various cities of India and in many places, such as walls, hoardings, boards its written L&T cement. People were painting over it or erasing it, by whatever means possible and at last, they show that now it will be known as UltraTech cement. Their tagline was “Nothing has changed, except the name”. And then they were announcing a new name for the product and it's been stuck in my mind till now. Then there are some things which get stuck in your head even if you are grown up. It totally depends on the brand and the advertising strategy that they follow which has impacted the then kid I was once.
I remember during my college days, I was in my final year and the companies were arriving to the campus for the placements and the first round which every company use to take was on aptitude tests. I wasn’t that bad at aptitude, but the problem was I had become very slow while solving problems and then I wasn’t able to solve many problems in a limited period of time. Then the next thing I was focused on all my attention was to solve the problems in a limited time. And then I made a routine of solving certain number problems daily. I practiced to solve questions from random sites and gradually my solving speed increased. Later around 2 weeks, whatever company came I cleared every aptitude test and got selected by a company. Another challenge which I recall was during my job; I was the shift in-charge of the mechanical department so one day what happened was the upper bells of the blast furnace wasn’t working. It was a really big problem because without the bells the blast furnace will not work and all the plant work got stopped. I initially panicked because I wasn’t able to reckon it out what exactly is the problem. Thus first I calmed myself started thinking about what could be the problem and also started discussing with the production team. After some time, we troubleshoot the problem and within an hour everything went backwards to normal. That day I understood the value of teamwork so whatever problem comes into your life first think about it calmly and then do.
