An Internship is the time wherein you get a chance to be in the corporate, learn about the corporate and understand the various options you have when you want to enter the corporate world after your graduation.
The company which I worked for is Reserve Bank of India (well, it was a dream come true to always set my foot here). So, when I got the news that I had made it through, the first face I saw was that of my ex-roommate and my present roommate and everyone's expression was that of surprise and wonderment. It took my ex-roommate 2 mins to calm himself before he could calm me down and hugged my tightly
So, the company as a whole is awesome with lots of structure within itself. There are several departments pertaining to each branch of the Indian Economy and the hierarchy system is very rigid and compartmentalized. Each intern is assigned a company mentor who is a well posted person of a department and these mentors are highly experienced in their department
The project which each intern was given is very real-life problem based and the solutions asked are assessed based on their feasibility, cost and other parameters. The employees there are very helpful and are always approachable. Their are many opportunities that an intern can grab if he/she knows to look at the right place.
Concluding my experience, i would like to thank my college, RBI and all my ex-roomates and my roomate who were there to help me when i needed their support. I would like to specially thank my Parents without whom none of this would have been possible
