What best defines JBIMS is the legacy and you are instantly in awe of the institute the moment you enter it. The institute has a legacy of 50+ years producing business leaders and industry stalwarts and the legacy and it impacts clearly drizzles down to the way it impacts the students today. It is located in the commercial capital of the country and that makes lectures from industry stalwarts possible, which makes it amazing for students to learn directly from people who are behind the biggest changes in business.
At Bajaj you learn that three things are elastic: hunger, sleep and patience. Over the past twelve months, students here have become super-humans bordering on the extreme limits of all the three parameters. But amidst all this rush the one thing that binds us is the unadulterated love for this unique college. And that is why, I can proudly say that if there is MBA on earth ‘It is here; it is here; it is here!’
The institute has a strong alumni base. Some of the noted alumni are Ms. Chanda Kochar, Ms. Vinita Bali, Mr. Ajay Piramal, Mr. Uday Kotak, Mr. Mani Ratnam, Mr. Nitin Paranjpe, Mr. Harish Manwani, Mr. Siddharth Roy Kapoor, Mr. Sam Balsara, Mr.Noshir Kaka. JBIMS is rightly called "The CEO factory". On a lighter note, the biggest mystery of JBIMS is the bathtub which is located just in the centre of the building. We have marine drive besides us, which is an absolute privilege. The lush green Oval ground is in our neighborhood, which makes up for the absence of playgrounds.
There are many incidents to talk about in our life at JBIMS. Prominently they revolve around the spare time we get, the beautiful time we spend at Marine Drive, Juhu beach and also other scenic places to dine out and have fun in South Bombay. And to introduce someone in our class, I will talk about Parth Deokate, who is infamous for cancelling plans. Never ever trust this guy when he says he is in for a trip or an outing. He will cancel the plan at the last moment. He is the cameraman, I-phone X guy of our class who has a swimming pool on the roof of his house! An engineering graduate from ICT, former project manager at Pfizer and a die-hard Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid fan.
Talking about the company I would have liked to work in ABGL is Aditya Birla Capital Limited. I would be specializing in Financial Management in 2
nd year of my MBA program and as Aditya Birla Capital Limited is the holding company of all the financial service businesses of Aditya Birla Group like Aditya Birla finance, health, housing, insurance, money, financial advisory, asset management, pension management and mutual funds, it would be an exciting career prospect for me with great exposure.
